To minimize program download problems,I suggest you acquire the program CD! It's faster and also FREE!
A. Getting Started With WINForms
[Try to use the instructions on your CD-rom jacket first]
1. WINForms should start loading automatically
a. If the Set Up Dialog box appears type D:SETUP
b. If your CD-ROM drive is C or E, use the C or E drive.
c. ACCEPT the default directory. Click OK.
At some point you will be asked to go online to register. To receive your redemption code, you will need the last 4 digit of your Social Security # and member or DRE #!
2. User Dialog Box
a. This is where you enter your specific information.
b. Save it by: CLICKING OK. Once you save it you can only change it
by contacting Product Support!
3. Default user Login Name and Password:
a. Login user name is: Master
b. Default Password is: password
B. You Need a Redemption Code - Go Online www. car.org -
Or it will NOT work!
C. Impatient? We'll fill out a contract now!

1. Getting to the Transaction Header. Start the Program.
a. A small box appears. Do you want a new transaction or
open an existing transaction?
b. Select: Create A New Transaction; then click OK
2. Pull up the form you want to use
a. A window named Transaction Header appears.
b. Select the Property type in upper window. Click OK
The Form Manager add/remove forms window appears
c. The left column gives form category choices. Select one
d. A library of forms appears. Select and fill out the form!
e. Click Save. (on the tool bar). Then print or e-mail!
D. There are other ways to access the forms:
[The Most thorough is next- (#1) and follows first]
1. When WINForms opens, the small window asks "What Do You Want to do?"
a. Select: Create a New Transaction, Click OK.
b. A Transaction Header appears. Input data, Click OK
c. The Forms Manager-add/remove window appears.
Information you enter will autopopulate in the fields on all the
forms you select.
d. On the left column, select the category of transaction
e. The top form is Cover Sheet. Select this form. Double click or
open. Input any additional info you want.
f. Go File/Save transaction, then ADD Form.
2. Use an Existing Trans., Open Trans., select Add Form.
3. To Start WINForms and get to the top toolbar fast:
a. At the what do you want to do screen? select Cancel
b. Go to file (top left)open transaction, use icons, tool bar
E. Main Screen Toolbar Functions and Features
[ You must have a main screen form window open ]
1. Within the main toolbar menu are rectangular windows with arrows on
the right of each of them
a. the left window is a shortcut to other forms in a transaction
and shows the form currently in use.
b. You can move from form to form this way!
c. The page window allows movement to other pages.
d. Scale width increases page and text size when open.
2. Many of the icons used are similar to Windows!
a. A more complete summary of available actions and list of shortcuts
are featured in the owners manual.
3. When typing in a Form, use the Tab Key
a. Allows rapid movement to the next open field.
b. You can also use your mouse to skip over fields.
F. Additional Keystrokes and WINForm Features
1. You may want to get to the toolbar fast to customize:
a. At the what do you want to do screen? Click Close
b. Go to file, open transaction, use icons, on tool bar
2. Use toolbar icons for fast WINForm shortcuts!
a. Place your cursor on the icon: A description appears!
3. Use File (Top Left) on the tool bar
a. More complete summary of available actions
4. Select Tools on The Tool Bar To Personalize
a. Select User Manager
b. Highlight Master
c. Click on Properties
d. Select on Preferences
Change password or Bypass password (auto login).

G. Utilizing and Filling out the Forms:
[Still another way to the forms:]
1. Transaction Header Screen
a. Start program, when asked Open or New Transaction?
b. Select: Create a New Transaction
c. Opens to a Transaction Header Screen
d. Select Type of Transaction.
f. Fill out the property/customer information
g. Click OK. Brings you to the form manager screen.
Select the form you want and fill it out.
2. Save a Form, Print a Form, Delete a Transaction
a. Go to file, Save, Save as - or use tool bar icons.
b. To PRINT; Go File, Print Form or use tool bar print icon.
c. To Delete Transactions-Use an Existing Transaction. At the Open
Transaction Window, select the transaction to delete . Click on
the X mark in the gray area.
3. Open an Existing Transaction
a. By choosing the existing transaction when your program starts, you
can modify, add a form or print.
b. Select the transaction you already saved and wish to work on by
highlighting it in the Open Transaction Window.
c. This would be a transaction that you entered before and now wish to
modify (counter offer, or a Rewritten Offer etc.) Or this could be
a transaction you now want to add a form to such as a disclosure,
Or when your seller becomes a buyer etc.
d. After the forms are completed everything remains the same, similar
to forms in a new transaction!
4. Scale With - on the Forms Window Toolbar
a. Allows you to change the screen size for easier reading
H. Print, E-Mail Forms and Electronic Commerce
(You will need to enter the clients address to e-mail a completed form)
1. E-mail a completed form to a customer to review
a. When the form is completed and ready to print or send
b. Click on File (Top Left) Select Print Form
c. Click on File (Top Left) Select Send Mail
d. You have a choice as to the form(s) you e-mail.
Your client will receive the e-mail and the option to download
the Form Viewer. Clients download the viewer one time to see
the forms!
2. Electronic Commerce [There is no charge to update]
Update the recent CAR forms and program after you have installed the
WINForm program. They are different updates!
a. Go online to www.WINForms.com/updates to update
b. follow the instructions to the most recent update
c. after downloading, a box asks to Open file, select OK
d. (WINForms may notify you by e-mail to update)

I. Making a Template and Clause Editor
[ You must have the Main Screen Form Window open]
1. Build Templates for future transactions
a. After completing a form. Click on File (top left), Click on
Save as Template. Name the Template, OK
b. The next time you open a transaction, Template option appears on
the left column, Select Template and use or modify the selected
saved named Templates.
2. Build and Save Clauses for future transactions
a. When typing in a form field with more than 1 line, select the pencil
icon on the right of the windows toolbar and go to Clause Editor.
(You Reuse clauses).
b. You create, categorize and save clauses for future use.
c. When in a blank form field, choose the pencil icon
(Clause editor) to bring up and use or modify the clause
J. Dialog View Editor-Change Passwords
1. Eliminating or Changing Passwords and Field Color
a. Go to Tools, User Options, Highlight Master, Click on Properties.
Then Select Preferences.
You can disable the password login if you are a single user, just
uncheck the login box. Change passwords here, too
b. From the same screen you can change text box colors
c. At User Options; add another user or set up password?
2. Dialog View Editor allows entries in columns.
a. Activate the form you want to use
b. Select the Dialog View Editor on the Form Toolbar
c. Enter your text in a list form. Select same and return to the form
window. (Similar to Stellar, Lightning w/ F7)

a. Icons are on the toolbar or click on Tools

a. Add specific forms from your company or another state
